Welcome to the JCSU Community!

What are the steps?

Generally, housing is assigned on a first come first serve basis. If a Freshman's application is received and their deposit is paid before July 1st, housing is normally available. The University reserves the right to assign or reassign spaces for the benefit of individual students and/or the living units. JCSU has collaborated with StarRez to allow students to autonomy of selecting a room assignment. The system allows housing to do multi-functions, reporting, and meet deliverables to our residents.  It allows residents the opportunity, if you meet the cut-off date to self-select a room assignment. Freshman students will not be able to self-select; all freshman students will be assigned based on the Matching Scale; students will be paired based on their interest inside and outside of the residence hall.
