Registration Process

In order to get registered for classes, there are three steps:
  1. Declaring Your Major
  2. Taking Your Placement Tests
  3. Making Your Class Schedule.

1.  Declaring Your Major
While you may have indicated an intended major on your application, a separate Declaration form makes this official. Click HERE to indicate which program you’d like to major in. If you are a Biddle Freshman or Sit Lux student, you will not be able to declare yet, and will be advised on this process later.  If you are unsure as to which major to pick, skip this step and you will be listed as Undeclared.

2. Taking Your Placement Tests
There are three placement tests available, but not everyone takes all of them. Please be sure to take these prior to making your class schedule. Your scores will be used, along with other data, to decide which courses you need. Please follow the instructions below to find out which test(s) are right for you:
  • All students should take the Math Placement Test online.
  • Any student who is proficient in a foreign language and wishes to place out of the foreign language graduation requirement should take the Foreign Language Placement Test.
  • If you are planning to major in Biology, Chemistry, or Computer Engineering, you should take the Chemistry Placement Test online.

3. Making Your Class Schedule
There are several opportunities to make your class schedule. Once you've taken your Placement Tests (see above), the options below will be available in the future:
  • Golden Bull Express – July 7 th thru July 11 th
  • In-person advising will be available once you arrive on campus for the semester. There will be many other activities occurring at the same time, however, so please try to use one of the above methods to get your schedule made before the semester begins.
