PSY 434 Introduction to Clinical Psychology Three credit hours A study of the historical development of clinical psychology and an exploration of the theories of personality and behavior, the techniques and problems of diagnosis and personality assessment, the research role of the clinical psychologist, the diversity of psychotherapeutic approaches, community psychology and mental health, and professional issues related to the training and practice of clinical psychologists. Prerequisite: PSY 131.
