The Lyceum Series at Johnson C. Smith University is one of the stellar lecture and performance series among small universities across the nation.
This series of lectures and performances on the arts is designed to enhance students' experience. As a student from Seattle said during the 1998-99 series, "Each time I go to a Lyceum program, I discover a different side of myself."
Students are required to attend at least eight Lyceum events (around one a semester), but students are challenged to see as many of these premiere events as they are able to so they can be challenged with new ideas and to experience new emotions and to find new passions.
