COM 252 Interpersonal Communication Three credit hours
The course introduces students to the theory and practice of interpersonal communication, the ultimate goal being to help them develop more effective communication skills in their personal and professional lives. Emphasis is placed on relational communication in personal, social, professional and cultural contexts. Topics include areas such as emotions, communicating with family, communicating at work, verbal and nonverbal communication, listening, and relationship development, maintenance and dissolution.
