BIO 337 Parasitology 3 Credit Hours
An introduction to parasites of medical importance that cause human disease throughout the world. Discussion of general aspects of parasitology, taxonomy, morphology, life cycles, pathogenesis, and host- parasite relationships of the major parasitic eukaryotes. Parasites of significant medical/veterinary importance and fundamental mechanism behavior, diagnosis, epidemiology, and control strategies will be emphasized. Lecture: 3 Hours a week.
