Description

BIO 245 Human Anatomy and Physiology II Four credit hours

This is the second course in a two-semester sequence that provides a comprehensive study of the organization of the human body and the physiology of body processes. Cellular biology, histology, lymphatic, circulatory, reproductive, respiratory, digestive, and excretory systems are studied. Throughout
the course an emphasis is placed on the interrelationship between structure and function and on the processes that maintain homeostasis, including deviations resulting in homeostatic imbalances. BIO 240 will not serve as a Prerequisite. Lectures: Three hours a week. Laboratory: Two hours a week. Prerequisite: BIO 249 and sophomore standing.
