BIO 143 Introduction to Biology I Four credit hours
An introduction to the biological sciences. Major concepts covered include the nature of scientific inquiry, cell biology, animal and
plant physiology, genetics and energetics, with a focus on the basic characteristics of living things. Lecture: 3 hours per week. Laboratory:
3 hours per week.
