VPD 432 Dance As an Art Form Three credit hours

This course provides a broad history of concert dance, discussing the many purposes that dance has served in various cultures around the
world, from the Middle Ages to the present. It provides context for the historical use of dance as religion, exercise, ceremony, protest, and art form.
